About me
Jorge Sentieiro
I was born in Lisbon, Portugal. I studied the guitar and the lute at the conservatoire in my hometown, and literature at Lisbon University. I subsequently moved to Basel, Switzerland where I studied the lute with Eugen Dombois and Hopkinson Smith. I’ve been building lutes and guitars since 1998, following historical models and construction techniques. I live in Basel, where I work as a luthier and as a guitar and lute teacher.
